By transformation, what I mean is we are moving from one civilisational era into another one. We now have something of an emerging global consciousness which we've never had before. We have abandoned an idea that was quite central to humanity for hundreds of years, and that was the idea that humanity could trump nature. In fact, not all of the world subscribed to that, that was a very Western part of secular modernity. I don't believe that we think that way any longer, I think that we have now acknowledged that nature back-slashed - we will not destroy the planet, but the opposite might be true. We have incredible growing awareness of our interconnection, our interdependence, in so many complex ways. I think that is a very fundamental transformation, I do believe that, and I have to say that I think that connective technology has been a critically important factor in driving that.
