Shelby was lucky enough to be rescued by her new family, but since I was making the portrait from her adoption photo, I couldn't help but think of how hard her life was on the streets of Thailand. Soi means Street in Thai - she was a slum dog. There are many more who need help, and I am thankful for the work of the Soi Dog Foundation, who link these dogs to new homes.
